2009 IPA Honorable Mention

Emily Perez was awarded in the International Photography Awards Competition. International Photography Awards (IPA) has announced the winners of 2009's competition. 
Emily Perez was Awarded: Honorable Mention in Advertising - Beauty category for the winning entry "Me, Myself and I." 

ABOUT Winner:
As a teen I entered many film and video competitions earning many awards and recognitions by Sony Corp of America, Premiere Magazine, Variety, Hollywood Reporter and some of my work toured thru galleries around the world. You can still find my work at the Los Angeles Public Library...this was how I got into the biz and my destiny was laid out for me before I had a chance to decide. I spent 12 years in the film industry working my way up to producer where I produced many many commercial spots and music videos, of course my share of short films as well. During my film escapade I always held my camera close to me since I always enjoyed photography and continued to shoot as a hobby. During my late 20’s I discovered that as a producer I was producing for other peoples dreams and making those possible thus forgetting all about my creative dreams. As a result I ended up walking off the set one day and never going back to this particular position and never looking back. During my pursuit for happiness I discovered my passion to photography and started to focus my life towards my more creative life...as a painter, as an artist, as a writer and a photographer.

The 2009 International Photography Awards received nearly 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe. IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony. The Foundation's mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003, IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographer's accomplishments in this specialized and highly visible competition.
